Belial serves as the Chief Advisor to Lucifer Morningstar in the Kingdom of Chaos. Extremely loyal to Lucifer, Belial is the most humane and diplomatic of the Fallen Angels. He is considered to be shrewd, reasonable, proud, and silver-tongued. Belial was blinded by God for defending Lucifer when he was under attack from the Seraphim during the rebellion. Lucifer blessed him with mental attributes that allow him to see. He is often followed by flocks of blackbirds, crows, or ravens.

In Heaven, Belial was the Angel who catalogued everything as it sprung forth from creation. He was, and still is, a trusted friend of Lucifer. In heaven he was known for his kindness, reason, and compassion for all things in creation.
